(Volumes 5 & 6 of 6) Maulana Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi and more popularly in the English-speaking world simply as Rumi (1207-1273 A.D.), was a 13th-century Persian Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi saint. Rumi died in Qonia which is in present day Turkey where his tomb is still thronged by admirers from all over the world. Rumi had been immensely popular in Asia and have now become, since around 1998 A.D., the best selling poet in America. Rumi’s importance is considered to transcend national and ethnic borders and he is today a truly international phenomena. His poems have been widely translated into many of the world’s languages and transposed into various formats. Rumi’s family hailed from Balkh in present day Afghanistan that eventually settled in present day Turkey. Rumi was initially a religious scholar and theologian (a Hanafi Mufti/jurist) who underwent a great spiritual transformation at the hands of a wandering Muslim saint named as Shaykh Shams Tabraizi who received a Divinely inspired spiritual intuition to go to Rumi and be a catalyst of Rumi’s spiritual transformation into intimacy with the Divine. As a result of this profound transformation, Rumi became the “Qutub al-Muhabba” or the “Pole of Divine Love”. His greatest book is “Mathnavi” (complete name “Mathnavi-e-Ma’navi” or “Couplets with Deep Inner Meanings”) which is a 6 volume collection of spiritual poetry in Persian (with Arabic verses widely dispersed in it) imbued with Divine love which by his own admission was Divinely inspired. Mathnavi is the world famous collection of mystical/spiritual poetry steeped in Divine love and gnosis. The themes in Mathnavi are directly inspired by Quran and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). These themes are beautifully explained in parables and stories in a heart-warming way.

 (Volumes 1 & 2 of 6) Maulana Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi and more popularly in the English-speaking world simply as Rumi (1207-1273 A.D.), was a 13th-century Persian Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi saint. Rumi died in Qonia which is in present day Turkey where his tomb is still thronged by admirers from all over the world. Rumi had been immensely popular in Asia and have now become, since around 1998 A.D., the best selling poet in America. Rumi’s importance is considered to transcend national and ethnic borders and he is today a truly international phenomena. His poems have been widely translated into many of the world’s languages and transposed into various formats. Rumi’s family hailed from Balkh in present day Afghanistan that eventually settled in present day Turkey. Rumi was initially a religious scholar and theologian (a Hanafi Mufti/jurist) who underwent a great spiritual transformation at the hands of a wandering Muslim saint named as Shaykh Shams Tabraizi who received a Divinely inspired spiritual intuition to go to Rumi and be a catalyst of Rumi’s spiritual transformation into intimacy with the Divine. As a result of this profound transformation, Rumi became the “Qutub al-Muhabba” or the “Pole of Divine Love”. His greatest book is “Mathnavi” (complete name “Mathnavi-e-Ma’navi” or “Couplets with Deep Inner Meanings”) which is a 6 volume collection of spiritual poetry in Persian (with Arabic verses widely dispersed in it) imbued with Divine love which by his own admission was Divinely inspired. Mathnavi is the world famous collection of mystical/spiritual poetry steeped in Divine love and gnosis. The themes in Mathnavi are directly inspired by Quran and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). These themes are beautifully explained in parables and stories in a heart-warming way.

 “Musaddas-e-Hali” or “Madd-o-Jazr-e-Islam” written by Maulana Altaf Hussain Hali in 1886 A.D. (1303 A.H.) is an epic Urdu poem on the rise and fall of Islam written in the backdrop of the defeat in the War of Independence in 1857 A.D. that heralded the British colonial rule of India. This beautiful, simple, and long poem traces the history of Islam in the pre-Islamic days of ignorance all the way till the situation today, analyzes the root causes of the situation, and prescribes medicines to remedify it today. The poem flows with tremendous ease and clarity and is one of the best treasures of Urdu poetry. It is now available for the first time in audio book recited in narrative form as oppossed to being sung. The poem begins with a glorious introduction by one of the greatest scholars of the subcontinent Allama Syed Sulaiman Ahmed Nadvi who is renowed for his Prophetic Seerah book “Rahmatul-il-Aa’lameen”.

“Futuh ul Ghaib” (known as “Futuh-e-Ghaib” in Urdu) Or “Spiritual Openings or Revelations from the Unseen” is a collection of short spiritual discourses/sermons by one of the greatest Muslim saints and spiritual masters Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani (1078-1166 A.D.). URDU AUDIO BOOK of Shaykh Mahboob Alam Saidavi’s beautiful account of his Shaykh (spiritual guide and teacher) Saeen Tawakkul Shah explaining the inspirational life and spiritual teachings of Shaykh Tawakkul Shah. Original book in Urdu is called “Zikr-e-Khair” (Goodly Remembrance) which is more popular with the name “Sahefa-e-Mahboob” (Book of the Beloved). Through this account of Shaykh Tawakkul Shah who died in 1315 A.H. (1897 A.D.) in Saida Shareef in Punjab province in Pakistan, the author Shaykh Mahboob Alam Saidavi, himself a great spiritual guide and teacher in contemporary Pakistan (died in 1335 A.H.), explains the inner spiritual teachings of Islam. “Book of the Beloved” through the account and teachings of Shaykh Tawakkul Shah, beautifully with great simplicity, explains Tasawwuf or Sufism which is the highest, the greatest, and the deepest teachings of Islam dealing with the rise of human soul to the realm of the Divine Reality.

Biography of Hazrat Sain Tawakal Shah Ambalawi rehmatullah aleh by his chief khalifa, a graduate of Darul Uloom Deoband and student of Qutub e Alam Hazrat Rasheed Ahmed sahib Gangohi rehmatullah aleh.

Sain Shah sahib ra was one of the few individuals Hakimul Ummat Hazrat Mawlana Ashraf Ali sahib Thanawi rehmatullah aleh would recommend to take as a Shaikh.

He is the Shaikh Dabbagh rehmatullah aleh (Ibriz) of the sub-continent.

The e’itidal/balance which is the sign of genuine sufis is evident in this biography.

Very beneficial for all spiritual aspirants.

Urdu Audio Book by Imam Ghazali (1055-1111) who is world’s one of the most influential thinkers, reformers, and spiritual transformers and whose books are a beacon of light for humanity for the last 900 years, explains the most crucial steps, in the form of a letter to a disciple, needed by a spiritual traveller on one’s journey to one’s final destination – the Lord of the Universes (Rubb ul Aa’lameen, the God Almighty). Although, this short book was written in response to some questions asked by one of his students, the message is common and applicable for every man and woman who is searching for the truth. This is the Urdu translation of Imam Ghazali’s Arabic book “Ayyuhal Walad” that literally means “My Dear Son”. It has been originally published as part of his 3 volume collection of short books called “Majmu’a Rasa-il Imam Ghazali”.

“Mizan al-Amal” (“Criterion of Action” in English and “Mizan-e-Amal” in Urdu) is another great book of Imam Ghazali (1055-1111) who is one of the greatest thinkers, spiritual transformer, and reformer of human history. This is the audio book of the Urdu translation of this great book. Original book in PDF format can be found in http://www.ghazali.org/urdu in Imam Ghazali’s collection of short books called “Majmu’a Rasa-il Imam Ghazali”. In this book, Imam Ghazali explains the criteria for judging human actions to be right or wrong. This criterion is needed for one’s spiritual journey which can only proceed with the help of striving to do the right actions while striving to avoid the wrong actions. These actions do not just include the outer actions of the limbs but also the inner actions of the heart and soul of the spiritual traveller.
