Mandatory Vaccinations
Ensure you receive the Meningitis vaccine and Polio drops at least 10 days before departure from your home country. Carry your Health Certificate/Card at all times, as Saudi authorities will check this upon entry.

If You Get Lost?
Identification Tag
Wear your ID locket/bracelet provided by your home country’s Hajj mission at all times. It contains your address.
National Flag Staff
Look for staff members wearing jackets with your national flag or office signs of your country’s Hajj Mission.

Hajj: 5-Day Timeline
8th Dhul-Hijjah
Enter Ihram. Depart Makkah for Mina. Stay in Mina for all prayers.
9th Dhul-Hijjah
Depart Mina for Arafat (Wuquf). After sunset, head to Muzdalifah for the night.
10th Dhul-Hijjah
Head back to Mina. Ramy (Jamarat), Sacrifice, Shaving hair (Halq), and Tawaf-e-Ziyarah.
11-12 Dhul-Hijjah
Stay in Mina. Ramy of all three Jamarat daily after Zawal.

Common Health Challenges Awareness
Universal Emergency First Aid
Sunstroke/Heatstroke:
Drink plenty of fluids, use an umbrella, and rest in cool shade immediately.
Bleeding Control:
Cover with clean cloth and apply direct pressure. Elevate the wounded limb.
Choking/Suffocation:
Move to open air. Seek medical help or perform CPR if trained.
Universal Fire Safety
โ๏ธ Do not cook inside tents; avoid overloading electric sockets.
โ๏ธ Smoking is strictly prohibited, especially near beds and tents.
โ๏ธ Keep gas cylinders upright and far from heat sources.
โ๏ธ In case of fire, use sand or water (do not use water on oil fires).
Ethics & Global Conduct
Avoid Disputing (Jadal)
“There is to be no lewdness, nor abuse, nor angry conversation during Hajj” (Al-Baqarah: 197). Maintain patience with staff and pilgrims from all nations.
Womenโs Specific Guidance
If natural cycles begin during Hajj, all rituals (Mina stay, Arafat, Muzdalifah, Ramy) can be performed except Tawaf. Complete Tawaf-e-Ziyarah once purified.
Passing in front of Musalli
Crossing in front of someone praying is strictly forbidden. While Tawaf circuits have some exemption in Mataf, avoid this in all other mosque areas.
Universal Travel Tip
Keep a minimum of 100 Saudi Riyals in reserve until you reach your home country airport for emergencies or flight delays.
